Belfast Metropolitan College
Belfast Metropolitan College (Belfast Met), as the largest provider of further education in Northern Ireland, has over 40,000 students on courses ranging from basic literacy and numeracy through all vocational and academic areas at all levels to degree and degree equivalent. The College’s main campuses are at Titanic Quarter, Millfield, Castlereagh and Springvale / E3. The history of Belfast Metropolitan College / Belfast Institute of Further and Higher Education stems back to the early 1900s with the opening of the Municipal Technical Institute in September 1906. Belfast Met leads the way in delivering IT and IoT from entry level to level 5 foundation degrees in Northern Ireland and across the UK. Belfast Met also deliver numerous employer led programmes with the Department of the Economy approved Academies including Deloitte Robotics and Financial Data Academy, PwC / Black Duck Advanced Cyber Security Academy and Microsoft Cyber Security Academy as well as over 300 current apprenticeships at Level 3 and 5. As a result Belfast Met is now the Lead Hub in Digital IT, working with the other FE colleges in Northern Ireland to deliver curriculum excellence, ensuring a high quality provision for learners and employers across NI.
